Committee Chair

(Fundraising, Conference Planning or Home Development)

  1. Is a member of the board
  2. Leads the effort of the committee’s goal
  3. Sets tone for the committee work
  4. Ensures that members have the information needed to do their jobs
  5. Oversees the logistics of committee’s operations
  6. Reports to the board President
  7. Reports to the full board on committee’s decisions/recommendations
  8. Assigns work to the committee members, sets the agenda and runs the meetings
  9. Ensures that meeting minutes are kept and then distribute
  10. Initiates and leads the committee’s annual evaluation or limited task completion
  11. Responds to communication directed to Committee Chair ideally within 48 hours or a maximum of 72 hours, or requests that another board member do this
